Wikidata search

An MCP tool from the Public Knowledge server, hosted on mcp.hjlabs.in.

Find Wikidata entities (people, places, concepts, works) by name and get their Q-ids with descriptions. Use wikidata_entity to read one in detail.

Name on the gateway: knowledge__wikidata_search · read-only.

Parameters

Name	Type	Description
`query` required	`string`	Name to search, e.g. "Douglas Adams".
`lang`	`string`	Language for labels. Default "en".
`limit`	`integer`	Results (default 10, max 50).

Through the Smart Gateway, any client can run it by name with call_tool, or let the gateway find it with search_tools:
