Crossref search
An MCP tool from the Public Knowledge server, hosted on mcp.hjlabs.in.
Search scholarly works by title, author or keywords across 150M+ Crossref records (journal articles, books, proceedings). Returns DOI, title, authors, venue, year and citation counts. Use crossref_doi for full details.
Name on the gateway: knowledge__crossref_search · read-only.

How to call it
Through the Smart Gateway, any client can run it by name with call_tool, or let the gateway find it with search_tools:
