Npm search

An MCP tool from the Public Knowledge server, hosted on mcp.hjlabs.in.

Search the npm registry by keywords: name, version, description, publisher, date, links and the registry's quality/popularity/maintenance scores.

Name on the gateway: knowledge__npm_search · read-only.

Parameters

Name	Type	Description
`query` required	`string`	Search words, e.g. "markdown parser".
`limit`	`integer`	Results (default 10, max 50).

Through the Smart Gateway, any client can run it by name with call_tool, or let the gateway find it with search_tools:
