An MCP tool from the Public Knowledge server, hosted on mcp.hjlabs.in.
Search Hacker News stories and comments (Algolia): title, URL, points, comment count, author, date and discussion link. Sort by relevance or date; filter to stories, comments, Ask HN or Show HN.
Name on the gateway: knowledge__hacker_news_search · read-only.

How to call it
Through the Smart Gateway, any client can run it by name with call_tool, or let the gateway find it with search_tools:
