Github readme
An MCP tool from the Public Knowledge server, hosted on mcp.hjlabs.in.
Read a public GitHub repository's README (Markdown, up to 60 KB) straight from raw.githubusercontent.com, which has no API rate limit. Optional `ref` for a branch or tag.
Name on the gateway: knowledge__github_readme · read-only.
Parameters

ref | string | Branch, tag or commit. Default: the default branch (HEAD). |
How to call it
Through the Smart Gateway, any client can run it by name with call_tool, or let the gateway find it with search_tools:
