Connect claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors to hosted MCP servers

Give claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors, the web and desktop chat apps' custom connectors, 10,812 tools through one remote MCP server, without hitting its tool limit.

Steps

  1. Create an API key in the dashboard.
  2. In claude.ai: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector (ChatGPT: Settings → Connectors → Create). Paste the URL below with your key in it and leave authentication empty.
  3. Enable the connector in a chat; the assistant sees the three gateway tools and searches for the rest.

Add as a custom connector: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL, no OAuth needed

Name: hj-hub
URL: https://mcp.hjlabs.in/k/YOUR_API_KEY/hub

The key is inside the URL, so share the URL with nobody. Revoke the key in the dashboard to cut it off.

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with a key from your dashboard. claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors connects to the HTTP endpoint directly: no bridge, nothing to install.

What claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors sees

Three tools: search_tools, call_tool and use_tool. When it needs something, it searches in plain words, gets the best matches with their schemas, and calls one. Any tool can also be called by its full name. You can connect an individual server instead, such as Public Knowledge or Developer Toolbox; the snippet is on each server page.
