Line numbers

An MCP tool from the Text Toolkit server, hosted on mcp.hjlabs.in.

Prefix each line of a text with its line number, right-aligned, with a separator you choose. Handy for quoting code or pointing at a specific line.

Name on the gateway: text__line_numbers · read-only.

Parameters

Name	Type	Description
`text` required	`string`	The text.
`separator`	`string`	Between number and line. Default ": ".
`start`	`integer`	First line number. Default 1.

Through the Smart Gateway, any client can run it by name with call_tool, or let the gateway find it with search_tools:
