Create a User Group

An MCP tool from the Slack API server, hosted on mcp.hjlabs.in.

Create a User Group [POST /usergroups.create]

Name on the gateway: slack_api__usergroups_create · may change things.

Parameters

Name	Type	Description
`channels`	`string`	A comma separated string of encoded channel IDs for which the User Group uses…
`description`	`string`	A short description of the User Group.
`handle`	`string`	A mention handle. Must be unique among channels, users and User Groups.
`include_count`	`boolean`	Include the number of users in each User Group.
`name` required	`string`	A name for the User Group. Must be unique among User Groups.

Through the Smart Gateway, any client can run it by name with call_tool, or let the gateway find it with search_tools:
