Fetch

An MCP tool from the Fetch server, hosted on mcp.hjlabs.in.

Fetch a public URL and return its content as Markdown (or raw text with raw=true). Long content is paged: call again with start_index to continue. Respects robots.txt.

Name on the gateway: fetch__fetch · read-only.

Parameters

Name	Type	Description
`url` required	`string`	The http or https URL to fetch.
`max_length`	`integer`	Maximum characters to return.
`start_index`	`integer`	Character offset to start from, for continuing a long page.
`raw`	`boolean`	Return the raw content instead of converting HTML to Markdown.

How to call it

Through the Smart Gateway, any client can run it by name with call_tool, or let the gateway find it with search_tools:
