Use it through the gateway
Nothing to set up. Connect the Smart Gateway once; when your assistant searches for something Exa Search does, the first call connects Exa Search to your account and runs it. You can also connect it with one click from the dashboard.
A third-party server: Exa's terms apply, and its tool descriptions are text in front of your assistant. Connect only servers you trust.
